This is a looming question circulating across the country and the cybersphere. A question like this is quite tricky to answer as it is a question of interpretation rather than of a solid yes or no answer. Many researchers have found the internet has been negatively affecting the youth throughout the country. It is vastly known that the internet is used for entertainment and shopping and other similar things, but it can also be used as an extremely versatile tool in education. The standard desktop computer is widely used in all levels of education from preschool to college.
Many parents are concerned about their children spending too much time on the internet. For some parents, they have a probable cause as to why they’re concerned. Parents of small children and parents of teenagers have to have different standards of internet usage. A small child usually doesn’t have an academic reason to use the internet. On the other hand, high school and college students rely heavily on using the internet. Whether it be research for a paper, or taking an online class; the internet has become a vital part of education in the past years. Not just to students, but to teachers as well. The internet is often used as a communication tool between students and teachers. The internet can be a very helpful tool in education. It also provides a wide variety of entertainment. From movies, to tv shows, to video games. The internet provides the world knowledge to know what’s going on in the rest of the world; quickly too I might add. Fact is, the internet is helpful and useful. Some people may abuse it by spending too much time social networking and whatnot. It’s not fair single out the internet as a whole because some people think it’s bad. |
